Wedding Colors

For those wondering what our wedding colors will be, we’ve chosen lavender and sage. Mostly this is relevant for the wedding party and family so that we’ll all compliment each other in photos, but it may be nice for some who also want to consider it for what they wear! The bridesmaids will all be wearing different shades of purple (I stole the idea from Rihanna, not even a little bit ashamed), and the groomspersons (typical feminist Christian, keeping it progressive) will be wearing earthy greens.

Beyond those two colors, I’ll of course be mixing in all natural hues (brown! mauve! teal! the colors of whatever nature I find around me!). I kind of can’t escape the desire to have colorful wildflowers mixed in, and I’m not sure how to blend that with these dark earthy colors, so we’ll see how that shakes out.

Anyways, I thought I better post something about colors since I hadn’t mentioned it anywhere else. It also is helping me to visualize my decisions, which I often have difficulty doing. And just FYI, I’m totally fine with people wearing white to the wedding, I really love people in cream-colored clothes, so have at it!
